Daniel Taub the peacemaker

Born in 1962 in the Great Britain, Daniel Taub beat all odds to become an Ambassador in the country of his birth. It happened to him because he was appointed the Israel Ambassador to the UK after relocating to Israel in 1989 where he served in many capacities under Israel government.

He was later appointed as the Israel Ambassador to the United Kingdom in 2011.While in Israel, he served in the Ministry of Foreign affairs as a legal advisor and also brokered many peace deals between Israel and other countries like Palestine and Syria to name but a few. Daniel Taub also represented Israel in many missions under the United Nations in Geneva Switzerland and also in New York.

Daniel Taub believed that Israel needed to maintain diplomatic ties with all countries and that is why he always fought for reconciliation in case there arose a disagreement.

For example, he had to travel to Bradford City to resolve the issue where the MP of Bradford constituency, Mr. George Galloway had termed Bradford as an Israel free zone and the remarks sparked heat on the social media. Because the citizens of Bradford knew Daniel as a true diplomat, they invited him to go there and put the record straight and make the region move forward. Read more: Daniel Taub | LinkedIn

Daniel has been visiting various British Universities in Israel where there have been demonstrations against Israel speakers and managed to calm the heat. As an ambassador, he made sure that the ties between the two countries were tightened especially in dealing with terrorism and climate change.

Because of his passion for interfaith and cross-cultural activities, Daniel Taub has taught Hebrew, and Bible classes participated in cultural and ethnic groups to bring together Israel-UK community. Of the Middle East crises, he has been speaking mostly on cooperation, and it’s achieved in Gaza, ISIS, and Iran.

Daniel has been on the opinion that the Middle East issue should be handled with caution without any dictatorship. He also helped in the peace agreements between Egypt and Jordan.

He observes that many countries are admiring the cooperation between Israel and other nations and feels that it’s a challenge to Israel to reach out to them. As an expert in international law, counter-terrorism and laws of war and through holding many legal, political and diplomatic posts in the Foreign Ministry of Israel, Daniel Taub has risen to be a peacemaker of all times.
